Fat Guy Friendly Approved or Not
Fat Lorenzo's (Minneapolis) order the Fat Lorenzo and expect to feed 4 fat guys at once
Khan's (Bloomington & Roseville) Mongolian Barbeque.
Gasthof zur Gemütlichkeit (Minneapolis) German food and beer. Not only is the food and drink good (the hard apple cider is the best) but it has a great party atmosphere. It is a little pricey, but its worth it.
Matt's (Minneapolis) The food isn't bad, but it's not great either. The portions of the fries is huge though.
5/8 Club (Minneapolis) Similar food to Matt's but better (especially the Jucy Lucy). French fry portion isn't nearly as big though.
The Local (Minneapolis) Good food with a buffet on Sundays. Seating is suspect. (submitted by Jason Harrell)
Holy Land (Minneapolis) Middle Eastern buffet (submitted by Jason Harrell).
Village Wok (Minneapolis) Good chinese with large portions and plenty of chairs.
Slice of Chicago (St. Paul) The food is great and the seating is ok. Call ahead if you want it to go (they can get pretty busy). Closed?
Hickory Hut (St. Paul) Spectacular chicken wings and rib tips. Ah hell everything is great, but they get really busy so call ahead and get it to go.
Tinucci's (Newport) On Saturdays you get to enjoy the best prime rib buffet ever. Fridays have a fish fry. The rest of the week its just a delicious restaurant.
Philly Dawgz (St. Paul) Stupid name, pretty good food and comfy seats (not a chair with arms in sight).
Korea (Minneapolis) It's a Korean buffet, but it's kind of traditional so the food is mostly veggies. I couldn't find anything that made my mouth water.
Q Cumbers (Edina) It's people! Soylent Green is people! I mean it's a salad bar. If you like salad bars it's an awesome one, if you don't you might like the Quiznos in the same strip mall.
Matty B's (Minneapolis) I haven't been to the St. Paul location but sadly I have to say the downtown Minneapolis location is not FGF. The food is pretty good, but the seats suck and the cheescake is a total rip off at 6 bucks.
